Do you offer Ed/Psych or Neuropsych evaluations?

We conduct a more condensed evaluation of clients by using their current ed/psych or neuropsych evaluations and other documentation to get a sense of where the client is and what obstacles they may encounter. We refer clients to local professionals who provide these tests as part of their services.

What can I expect to get out of therapy?

Therapy is modelled after the book, “Thriving at the Edge of Chaos: Making ADHD a Superpower in College and Career”, that provides tools effective in helping people avert and resolve depression, anxiety and other stress-related issues, manage life organization and balance, and maintain a healthy academic self-concept and beliefs.

What type of therapy do you offer?

DBT, CBT, solution focused, supportive therapy.

What does an “integrated program” mean?

By “Integrated program”, we mean our staff communicates regarding the experience of clients in various aspects of our services.   Assessment and Workshop Staff brief Academic Coaches and Counselors; Academic Coaches and Counselors update each other regarding a client’s unique experiences of moving through obstacles and utilizing and integrating the tools and strategies they develop.  We find that this cross communication among involved staff helps our clients get the most out of their experience with our Program and offers them the greatest possibilities for growth and progress.

What type of Insurance do you take?

Fees for services may be reimbursable by your insurance company and we encourage you to contact your health insurance representative. Although we do not accept direct insurance reimbursement and participate in no managed care networks (except for Tricare Prime), we will work with you to obtain reimbursement.

What can I expect out of coaching?

By utilizing the components the book, “Thriving at the Edge of Chaos: Making ADHD a Superpower in College and Career” coaches empower students to overcome issues of focus, motivation, organization, self-monitoring/management and self-advocacy – and more.

What can I expect to get out of the workshop?

The workshop provides a gateway opportunity to develop a deep understanding of each of the academic and life skills described in the book. As one participant stated, “The workshop helped me personalize these ideas and get them at a cellular level.”  Students can expect to come away from the workshop with a well-honed set of highly relevant skills and tools that will help them make the most of college and other postsecondary training and develop a clearer path to success and fulfillment in the world of work. Their completed Workbook provides a takeaway reminder of these concepts and specifics of how they will integrate them effectively into their life.
