Danilo Salli, Intern

I am a graduate student in James Madison University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, pursuing my M.A./Ed.S. Following my graduation, I plan to work towards licensure and practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in trauma and family systems. Starting January 2024, I have been conducting my practicum at the James Madison University Counseling & Psychological Services Clinic. I am currently working with a caseload of four clients, personally handling scheduling, documentation, and treatment plans. My experience seeing clients at CAPS has been supremely rewarding and I look forward to growing with my clients as I progress through this semester.

In the abbreviated words of Orson Welles, “a healthy man owes to the sick all that he can do for them”. I realized how fortunate I am and that I could not expect to feel fulfilled unless I was working to the benefit of others. Throughout my years as an intern for Life Solutions Counseling Group/The ADHD College Success Program, I have been given an incredible opportunity to make connections with clients and offer empathy to those who need it.
